Royal Rumbles in recent WWE games are much slower and more measured experiences than they used to be. For the most part, that's a good thing, and it makes the difficulty of going from #1 to the end a lot more challenging. It should be.

A few minor tweaks here and there would really bring the mode to life however.

Those split-screen moments (the traditional corner cam WWE use in real life) showing the next entrant should be the first port of call. It's such a small touch, and yet it's one that again plays into that immersion 2K claim to adore presenting. Other than that, the Rumble needs more of a sense that anything can happen.

Wrestlers should be able to exit the ring through the ropes and brawl outside. Further, weapons would be a nice touch, add a different dynamic to a match presented as one without any disqualification rules and give players more freedom.
