Whether he wins or loses this Sunday, Daniel Bryan's SummerSlam 2018 match with The Miz should be one of the final pieces in 2K's Showcase jigsaw. By far, this is Daniel's most meaningful one-on-one match since calling off his early retirement and returning to the WWE ring.
Playing as the good-natured, smiling pro wrestling machine and aiming the slap the smirk off a Hollywood wannabe's face is an awesome thought. Bryan vs. Miz is the kind of natural yin and yang story WWE adore, and it's perfect for the gaming world; in some respects, Miz is akin to Bryan's final boss.
Overcome him and redemption is complete.
Miz's cruel taunts when Bryan was SmackDown GM and his incessant need to lord phoney superiority over someone everyone knows is a better wrestler on NXT years ago will all be laid out in the Showcase before this SummerSlam epic. Ending with it would see Bryan's emotional story come full circle.
