3. The Surprisingly Impressive Lighting Effects
Though the superstars' faces sadly don't look particularly convincing, Visual Concepts does deserve a small measure of praise for delivering some surprisingly convincing lighting effects.

The sweat that glistens off the wrestlers' bodies proves jaw-droppingly photo-realistic at times, and it's so lifelike in fact that it clashes harshly with the game's otherwise unremarkable visual outlay.
This is the only aspect of the game aesthetically that really feels worthy of 2K Sports' other franchises, and you have to wonder why they put so much effort into this facet of the visuals while most everything else looks painfully behind the times.
