Along with a new 30-second trailer for the game, the WWE 2K YouTube channel has today revealed that WWE 2K22 will be released in March of next year - scrapping previous plans to put the game out into the wild towards the end of 2021.

As for that next trailer, it gives us a first look at several talents, with Roman Reigns, Bayley, Drew McIntyre, Bill Goldberg, Finn Balor, Ricochet, Carmella and Kane amongst those featured.

It's also now known that the cover star of WWE 2K22 will be revealed in January, with more general details being revealed at that time as well. Right now, one has to imagine that current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns - who has been knocking it out of the pack for the past year - has to be the leading candidate to nab this 'cover star' spot.

Many may be disappointed to hear that WWE 2K22 won't be out until next year, but it seems clear that 2K Games, Visual Concepts and WWE are extremely eager to make sure the game is as good as it can be after the disaster that was WWE 2K20.
