WWE 2K22 Cover Stars Revealed?
2K say fans "overwhelmingly" voted for two specific WWE superstars to grace the box.
The official @WWEonFOX Twitter account polled fans to find out who they'd like to see on the cover of the upcoming WWE 2K22 video game, and the response was "overwhelmingly" in favour of two specific names.
Drew McIntyre was the male star fans voted for, and Sasha Banks was the female one.
FOX were quick to note that neither of their mocked-up boxes were official - they haven't leaked anything 2K Games don't want them to, but both covers look stunning. Picking the right cover star is a deceptively big decision for the developers this year, because they know what's at stake here.
2K can't afford another disaster like 2K20. The next game has to be a winner, and it must earn rave reviews from series veterans who have suffered through the same old problems for years.
It's also interesting that FOX chose to use PS5 box art. 2K Executive Producer Patrick Gilmore had previously hinted in a Reddit AMA that the dev-team would focus on PS4 and Xbox One before thinking about ports to PS5 or Xbox Series X/S.
