WWE Planning Brock Lesnar Vs Bill Goldberg Rematch?
Brock vows that Goldberg is next.
In the latest WWE 2K17 promotional video, Paul Heyman cuts a promo putting over his client Brock Lesnar as the real star of the game, and ends up congratulating Bill Goldberg for his "supporting role."
Brock Lesnar then adds in the short, but sweet, threat of telling Goldberg that he's next.
It's a fun video, but WWE has since pulled it down, leading to speculation that it was published prematurely and was perhaps planned as an early tease for a Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg match in the future.
Goldberg and Lesnar have of course fought before; an infamous showdown at WrestleMania XX. It was one of the worst contests in the event's history, and basically got them booed out of the building as fans turned on both performers knowing they were on the verge of quitting WWE. The match remains the last of Goldberg's career to date and over the years he has talked about a rematch with The Beast, and you have to wonder if that's what WWE have planned here.
The hype for WWE 2K17 continues to grow with the release date of the video game less than two months away.
