8. No Love For Banjo Or Conker

Anthropomorphic animals and Rare Studios: the two of them are synonymous with each other and yet, the last time we were treated to the delights of family-friendly Banjo and his pal Kazooie or, well, the opposite of that with the potty-mouthed Conker, seems like aeons ago.

Instead, Rare's forging a new path for itself with Sea of Thieves, and given how ambitious that project has proven to be, it's unlikely it'll have time for the creature features that made it a household name. The massive rumour drop seemingly confirms what we already suspected on that front, then, that our favourite furries are staying on the bench for yet another year.

For now, the best we can hope for is a handful of Easter eggs and nods to Rare's heritage squeezed into Sea of Thieves' open world in some shape or form.
