While I'm still a big DualShock 4 fan, TONS of gamers cite the Xbox One pad as the best of the generation, if not all time.

It's a design happened upon through laborious research and ergonomic refinement - and something even Microsoft innovated on with their somehow even better Elite Controller. The only problem with the Elite though, was that it cost £150 or more - almost the same amount as a new Xbox One S.

For the SX's controller then, we're getting the best of both worlds.

Not only will the new controller be backwards compatible and will support Windows, but it's coming with the new "all in one" Elite D-pad, a rounded overall shape, and a dedicated share button like the PS4/Switch.

How to improve on perfection? Microsoft have found a way.
