13. You Can Unlock Hero Characters

Hero characters are a special soldier type in XCOM 2. They€™re unlocked by entering specific names into the soldier€™s personal information screen, names like Sid Meier or Peter Van Doorn. Though these soldiers disable the game€™s achievements, they€™re incredibly overpowered and can easily turn the tide in any battle situation whatsoever.

In fact, they€™re so overpowered that the game essentially becomes a walk in the park; they all have incredible abilities and high-end equipment, superseding any real sense of challenge. So, if you just want to play through the game, experience the story and feel like an utter badass, knock yourself out.
