11. Akkala Ancient Tech Lab
Located to the North-East, just to the right of Deep Akkala, look to the rightmost mountainside and you'll find another Tech Lab, just like that of Hateno Village, which you'll no doubt visit when getting closer to Kakariko village on the main quest, anyway.
What's special about this place is the team of quirky scientist-types can make you Ancient weapons - ones that use components harvested from Guardians, both air and ground-based.
You'll need a hearty mix of Ancient Cores, Screws, Cogs etc. to get everything, but even if you've downed a couple of the 'octopus'-style Guardians, you'll have enough to create a Guardian Shield, which can be used to deflect the otherwise one-hit-kill beams back at them.
Atop that, you've got Guardian armour, swords, spears and best of all, Guardian Arrows. The latter can be shot at any other creature to pull them into a miniature black hole.
Those pesky Lynels won't know what hit 'em.
