14. Avoid Being Struck By Lightning

Okay, now you're just being cruel, Nintendo.

So, when you're out in the world and find yourself caught in a violent lightning storm (something that will happen in the north-west portion of the map a lot), you'll see Link's equipment start to crackle repeatedly, until it eventually bursts, taking a good 10 hearts with it.

The solution is twofold. First, you're 'crackling' because the equipment/clothing you have equipped is metal, so switch to wood or bone-based items (or de-equip clothing) and you'll be fine. Or, if what's popping is a melee weapon, hold R and throw it away before it explodes.

Time the latter just right, and you can strike platoons of enemies with this devastating bolt of lightning from the heavens.
