10 Horror Movie Characters Who Deserve Their Own Spin-Off
10. Azazel - Fallen
When an entity like Fallen's Azazel is brought to the screen for a movie spanning less than two hours long, it's all but impossible to do anything more than scratch the surface of the character.
The fallen angel that could possess mortals by touch went head-to-head against Detective John Hobbes (Denzel Washington), which, for a being as old as Azazel, was less than the blink of an eye. There is always room for further exploration when it comes to the supernatural, and this is one example that could potentially work better than most.
Azazel had been around for literally thousands of years before the events of Gregory Hoblit's 1998 flick, and so you could almost pick any era of history in which to base another demonic story. This could even stretch back to when he was initially cast from Heaven in the first place.
Alternatively, and potentially even more interestingly, what did Azazel do after the credits rolled on Fallen? Hobbes believed him to be defeated, as he killed himself with no one else around for the demon to possess. However, Azazel managed to take the body of a nearby cat, saving himself from dying outside of a host, leaving his story wide open going forward.
