10 Horror Movies That Suck So Bad You Can't Believe They Got Made

4. Slender Man

Real-life murders have always inspired horror movies, but there are times when it can verge into the exploitative.

In 2014, two 12-year-old girls lured their friend into a forest and stabbed her 19 times, almost killing her. They claim to have perpetrated this horrendous act to appease The Slender Man, a creature that had gained popularity through its appearance on various online forums and fan fiction websites.

In 2018, just one year after the girls involved in the attack were sentenced, a film came out featuring Slender Man as the main villain. Whilst not explicitly inspired by the real-life attacks, the movie was still way too close to the truth to be enjoyable.

Also, it was really bad.

Thinly constructed characters with a plot straight out of "Baby's First Horror Script" and scares that could best be described as "not", Slender Man had it all, and it was roundly savaged by both critics and fans alike.

Say what you will about whether or not it should have been made for taste reasons, but this idea should have been shot down immediately purely because it was awful.
