10. Generation Z

Ben Wheatley is a British filmmaker known for directing two episodes of Doctor Who, an adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier's Rebecca, and Meg 2: The Trench. But please, don't hold that last one against him.

On an unspecified date in 2024, Wheatley is set to unleash a new TV show via the UK's Channel 4 and, despite its title, it's actually going to be about old people.

Generation Z is set in a small British town where an army truck accidentally crashes outside an old folks' home. This releases an experimental substance which, when it comes into to contact with the pensioners, turns them into mindless, bloodthirsty zombies.

The show will explore the generational divide present in modern society, as the town's younger residents must literally go to war with their older neighbours. Expect plenty of satire from this horror comedy, as well as jokes about how bad the elderly smell.

If you're in the mood for a horror that'll make you laugh, Generation Z looks set to tick all your boxes.

It should be better than Meg 2 at the very least.
