10 Scrapped Horror Movie Monsters That Would Have Been Terrifying

7. Yautja Hybrid - The Predator

As one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's finest action hits from the 1980s, Predator has become iconic over the following years. However, up until Dan Trachtenberg's recent efforts, every Predator outing that followed the original was invariably disappointing, from Predator 2 through to Alien vs. Predator: Requiem.

Arguably, one of the most underwhelming outings was 2018's The Predator, something that wasted a big budget, an impressive cast, and the chance for a fresh start in the franchise. It was a lackluster sequel with very little worth remembering afterwards outside the always brilliant Sterling K. Brown.

This could have been different had it not been for test screenings killing an idea that went outside the traditional formula and actually did something unique. This would have been an attack from an upgraded Predator, who released a "menagerie" of hybrid Yautja to run wild.

The Alien franchise has dabbled with hybrid Xenomorphs, and with a bunch of concept designs for intriguing and unique beasts, including horse-sized attack dogs and rhinoceros beetle-inspired monsters, this would have instantly made The Predator far better and more memorable than it ultimately was.
