10 Worst Horror Movies Of 2026 (So Far)
4. Night Patrol
Sometimes you have to give a film credit for trying, or for a premise that has the potential to be something interesting at the very least, even if the final product is subpar. This is certainly the case with Night Patrol, which simply couldn't live up to the idea of vampires within the LAPD.
There could have been some interesting ideas and commentaries put forward with such a story, though the biggest takeaways were the poor acting and awful dialogue, the wildly miscast Justin Long first as a cop and marine, then as a vampire, and the fact that Phil 'CM Punk' Brooks has a long way to go before joining John Cena, Dwayne Johnson, and Dave Bautista as the only successful wrestlers-turned-actors.
There was almost no effort made to blend together the gritty gang warfare background and the supernatural elements, leaving big parts of Night Patrol feeling largely disconnected from others. In that same vein, it ultimately took so long to turn into a vampire story that it was difficult to care by the time it did, leaving the big final battle feeling hollow and unearned, and the outing in general forgettable at best, and laughable at worst.
