Slither remains beloved to this very day, with many wondering whether Gunn might now have enough clout to get the sequel made that was teased in the first film's post-credits scene.

But you certainly shouldn't count on it - in an interview last year Gunn revealed that he mentioned a potential Slither 2 to a producer shortly after the original's release, and the suggestion was basically laughed off.

Couple this with the fact that Gunn is now incredibly busy as the co-CEO of DC Studios and one of the more reliable blockbuster filmmakers working today, and it's tough to picture him ever going back to something as comparatively slight as Slither.
