6. Jill Roberts - Scream 4

Scream 4's Jill Roberts was the last truly great and surprising Ghostface killer, and it's fitting that Sid's scheming cousin got one hell of a going-away party.

In the hospital finale, as Jill has Gale held at gunpoint, Sidney manages to get the drop on her, electrocuting Jill with a pair of defibrillator paddles to the head. This is followed by the all-timer one-liner, "You forgot the first rule of remakes, Jill, don't f**k with the original."

This alone would've been a neat and unique way for a Scream killer to go - ignoring the scientific implausibility of it all, obviously - but true to form, it doesn't quite end there. Jill eventually returns for one more go, but Sidney sees her coming and shoots her square in the chest before she gets anywhere close. Her death proves all the more satisfying considering just how damn close she got to actually winning.
