3. Poultrygeist 2: Dawn of the Chicken Dead

Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead is one of the most infamous offerings from beloved schlock factory Troma, being an utterly demented black comedy musical about a New Jersey fried chicken joint that is built on a Native American burial ground and spawns a fleet of zombie chickens.

Though actually pretty damn fun for what it is, few expected a sequel to ever materialise, especially with two full decades having passed since the original's 2006 release.

But at the start of 2025, Troma confirmed that a sequel - then-titled Poultrygeist 2: The Henpire Strikes Back - was indeed in the works, to be written and directed by B-movie filmmaker Mercedes the Muse. The sequel was more recently re-titled to Poultrygeist 2: Dawn of the Chicken Dead, and a teaser trailer seems to promise more of the gonzo insanity that made the original a cult gem.

Poultrygeist 2: Dawn of the Chicken Dead is expected to release sometime in 2026.
