8. Rec - The Plot Holes

Suspension of disbelief has always been a fundamental part of the moviegoing experience, and pretty much every film you can think of will have some illogical moments here and there. In fact, many great movies don't make perfect sense, but if they really are that good, then viewers will quickly cease to care.

Rec, a Spanish found-footage classic, is an epitomizing example of this. This story of a zombie outbreak in a quarantined apartment block doesn't always make that much sense, and it's difficult not to feel that all that death and destruction could've been avoided had the authorities handled the situation in a more logical way. Most notably, when a lone scientist is sent into the tower block in order to investigate, he is not sent in with any armed back-up, which still feels incredulous. 

Still, Rec compensates for this several times over. It's such a terrifying, effective, and immersive nightmare that these gaps in logic are little more than minor distractions. Additionally, Rec came out in the 2000s, an infamously bad time for horror, and most found-footage horrors tend to be fairly weak.
