16. The Killer's RIDICULOUS Voice - Psycho Killer

Though the writing was firmly on the wall that the long-delayed Psycho Killer was going to be a dud pre-release, what prevented it from merely evaporating from memory in record time was the laughable vocal choice of its antagonist.

The film revolves around a serial killer known as the Satanic Slasher (James Preston Rogers) - a hulking brute of a man who, not content to look terrifyingly imposing, rocks a comically gravelly voice.

The voice is so over-the-top in its attempt to come off menacing that it actually induces the polar opposite effect, and it sounds jarring enough that you might even assume it was added in post-production in a desperate effort to enhance the flat vibe.

When a creative decision makes you laugh when you're supposed to be scared, you know the filmmakers really whiffed it. 

But if not for this silly voice, there'd be almost nothing to remember about this total non-event of a horror flick.
