9. Madlands: Caged Cannibals

The House:

The world has become an inhospitable place so where better to seek refuge than in the long closed zoo. Unfortunately you aren’t the only ones inside!

Gangs of waring cannibals also call the zoo home. They might be battling each other, but it is YOU who is on the menu tonight

The Hype:

This was a very fun house and the characters within are something special. 

As you travel through the house you enter different parts of the zoo, with the cannibals inside taking on the aspects of each section.

There were apes, bats, boars, birds and a lion. There was even a huge robotic rhino! 

Though the costumes were exceptional, the most memorable part of this house was the smell. This was distinct, especially in the bat enclosure. Universal do an excellent job at utilising smells, and this house becomes completely transportive with its odours that are incredibly familiar to anyone who has ever visited a zoo or wildlife sanctuary.

Madlands is post-apocalyptic chaos in the best way possible.
