One of the most notable comparisons to be made with Darvill and Bowie are the similar hair colours. Finding a red-headed actor would be a step in the right direction, and Darvill also manages to add a slightly slender face and unconventional look to that as well.

However, one of the most significant selling points on this casting comes from Darvill being an incredibly talented musician. He has lent his singing voice to the musical adaptation of Once and even started a musical collective called the Paperlands.
