8. Zooey Deschanel - She & Him

Known for her roles in Elf, 500 Days Of Summer and television show New Girl, Zooey Deschanel has charmed audiences since the moment she first appeared on screen. What you might not know, however, is that Zooey is one half of American indie duo She & Him, singing alongside guitarist M. Ward. She & Him were founded in 2006 and their first album Volume One was released by independent label Merge Records in 2008. Since then the band has been fairly prolific, releasing Volume Two, A Very She & Him Christmas, Volume 3 and most recently Classics in 2014, featuring 13 covers of classic songs.

Deschanel's role in the band is that of singer, piano player and ukulele player, three key components in the band's infectiously catchy indie sound.
