Time passes quickly in the entertainment industry. Songs and artists that are popular one day aren't guaranteed popularity the next. The music business is fickle, and so is the taste of the general population. This makes it very easy to forget material that's in the past. There's such an emphasis on keeping up with the latest songs and releases that previous albums are often forgotten entirely. While this might not be the case for fans of specific artists, many of us simply hear these albums and their singles through songs on the radio, approaching and following a record's release. And with so much else going on in the world, it's easy to just enjoy the music for what it is, and lose all sense of when it actually came out. In 2016, some of the most popular albums of the 2000s will be ten years old. This list is here to remind you of some of the most surprising. Buckle up, it's time to feel old...

10. Red Hot Chili Peppers €“ Stadium Arcadium

The last great Red Hot Chili Peppers album. Okay, so that may not be fair since the band has only released one album since then, 2011's I'm With You (notably missing guitarist John Frusciante), but it's still amazing to think that it's been so long. Stadium Arcadium is the ninth studio album by the band, and was released in May 2006. So much material was recorded for the record that it ultimately became a massive double album. As mentioned, Stadium Arcadium marked the last studio recording before long-time guitarist John Frusciante sadly left the band. In the years since his departure, the Red Hot Chili Pepper's have struggled to retain their old sound or successfully find a new one. Stadium Arcadium's most popular singles included Dani California, Snow (Hey Oh) and Tell Me Baby.
