Much like Keith Moon, the legendary singer for The Doors is almost as well-known for his rowdy antics off the stage as he is for his talent on stage.Much of his troubled and turbulent life was documented in the renowned biopic of his life starring Val Kilmer. How much of what's in the film is accurate is somewhat questionable however, as the band has disregarded many of film's elements. Nevertheless, Morrison had certainly built up a reputation as a troublemaker. The Doors went through some turbulent years, with Jim Morrison often causing strife wherever he went all in the name of rock n roll. At one of their sold out shows in Connecticut, Morrison spent the time before the show backstage having sex with his mistress. When the police found him mid-act, they asked him to stop, which Morrison refused to do and got violent. He ended up getting pepper-sprayed but was allowed to go onstage, courtesy of his managers convincing words, where he immediately proceeded to start a riot. The police had no choice but to arrest him for breaching the peace, immoral exhibition and resisting arrest. However, Morrison was a famous rock star, and this was just the sort of shenanigans rock stars get up to, so the police let him off with only $25 fine.
