10 Best Bring Me The Horizon Songs
10. Empire (Let Them Sing) – Sempiternal (2013)
At the time of its release, Sempiternal was the least heavy record by Bring Me The Horizon. However, the more accessible sound presented on their fourth album certainly didn't lack power.
‘Empire (Let Them Sing)’ is the most anthemic track on Sempiternal. The choral vocals alongside Sykes’ guttural screams make it ripe for performing in a live setting.
However, as fun as it is to sing along to, ‘Empire (Let Them Sing)’ is also one of the heaviest tracks on Sempiternal. Indeed, this four-minute number barely lets up. Even during the quieter moments, the aggression remains in the foreground.
Despite the prominence of the distorted guitars, however, Jordan Fish also makes his mark here. The atmospheric electronics – though not very prominent in the mix – raise this track to another level.
Put simply, ‘Empire (Let Them Sing)’ is an angst-ridden anthem that never gets old.
