10. Stadium Arcadium - Red Hot Chili Peppers
The California Tourist Board's most prominent members, the Red Hot Chili Peppers attempted something pretty massive in 2006.
Their plan was to record a trilogy of studio albums and have them all ready for release six months apart. However, this never ended up happening. Probably because they wasted all their time trying to get Anthony Kiedis to put his shirt back on.
In the end, a double album was released instead and, you know what, it was a pretty decent consolation prize.
Stadium Arcadium hit shelves in May 2006 and comprised of 28 songs spread over two CDs. Highlights from the discs include Snow (Hey Oh), Hump de Bump, Desecration Smile, and the monster hit Dani California.
Because of course they had to get the C-word in there somewhere.
The album was well-received amongst Chili fans and the wider music community, with praise being given to the more mature songwriting and musical interplay between the band.
The record would spell the end of an era for the group, as this would be guitarist John Frusciante's final album with the band until 2022.
Maybe the costume changes in the Dani California video knackered him out.
