Since 1975, Tom Scholz's band has been a major player within the classic rock pantheon. Their debut album, 1976's self-titled "Boston" is often cited as one of the best rock records of all time, which is no surprise given the fact that it features songs such as "Peace of Mind", "Rock and Roll Band" and the seminal "More Than a Feeling", a song that has practically never left rock radio since it's first release.

Still going strong to this day, Boston is a band that has made its mark on the genre and on many other artists who credit them as being major influences in their own work.

Even with such accolades to their name, Boston have never been considered for induction into the Hall of Fame. The fact that their self-titled debut album is still one of the best selling debut albums of all time makes them worthy of recognition from the Hall of Fame, having sold 25 million copies worldwide. For a band as critically and commercially successful as Boston, it is about time they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside the other classic rock giants of the 1970s.
