10. Ozzy Osbourne - Black Sabbath

At the dawn of 70's, you'd be hardpressed to find another band as heavy as Black Sabbath. Their unique approach to riffs and maniacal vocals from Ozzy Osbourne gave the band an edge that would go on to define the future of heavy metal. While these hymns of doom were coming naturally, the cracks in the Sabbath stronghold were already starting to form.

Though most of the band were known to indulge themselves with drugs, Osbourne was the most notable abuser, who would often be too out of it to follow along with the rest of the band. As a result, the band's live show deteriorated, with Osbourne becoming more lethargic and moving away from the madman persona he had perfected in the band's early days. The struggles became so bad that the band ended up rearranging their stage setup so guitarist Tony Iommi would take center stage while Osbourne was moved to the left belting out the tunes.

By the time the band had reached the album Never Say Die, Osbourne had already been in and out of the band more than a few times, but the real magic behind the original Sabbath was officially over. Though the band might not have been able to function, Sabbath's work with Dio along with Ozzy's solo career gave the fans more than their fair share of classic tunes.
