Better known to his music fans as Hozier, Andrew Hozier-Byrne is an Irish musician and singer-songwriter from Bray, County Wicklow. Finding fame in 2014 with popular record Take Me To Church, the Irish musician appears to be going from strength to strength, racking up millions of fans as he goes. At just 19, the artist dropped out of a music degree at Trinity College, Dublin, to sign a deal with Universal Ireland, which in turn led to his recent stardom. Not your average celebrity, and certainly not classing himself as one, Hozier has described himself as a gangly introvert, admitting to finding working with producers quite uncomfortable while trying to maintain his message and style of music as well as working out the nitty gritty financial side of becoming famous. While certainly not just a one hit wonder, Hozier proved that one great song can get you a long way in the music industry. Take Me To Church was flung on to an international stage, and suddenly he was seeing YouTube hits in the millions, sold-out US tours, performances on Letterman and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, with more primetime exposure on the way. But aside from this quiet long-haired heart throb's main chart hit, let's look at what else is there to the man behind the (amazing) music.
