Say what you will about Death Cab For Cutie, but at least they're upfront with their creepy intentions. Benjamin Gibbard and his bandmates made one of the more forthright songs about the disquieting side of unrequited love.

See? That's the chorus. He's laying it all out there for us overtop a dark, oddly threatening bass line. But it's delivered in such a way that you think Gibbard believes it to be an endearing statement. It's not. It's an ode to forcing someone to love you that basically romanticizes Stockholm Syndrome.
