Bass lines don't usually get the attention that guitar riffs do but the opening notes for Re-Arranged was a staple opening for one of Significant Others mellower tracks. In fact, the beef of the song was laid down by bass player Sam Rivers and D.J. Lethal's creative scratch-mixes. The theme of Significant Other lies heavily on broken relationships and Re-Arranged takes another angle while managing to be catchy and melodic: while being relatively sparse, musically speaking. Still, the message of the song rang familiar to many and this song has remained popular for it's sing-song up-beats and defiant disposition. "Life is overwhelming, heavy is the head that wears the crown - I'd love to be the one to disappoint you when I don't fall down". Indeed.
