Nine Inch Nails may be more of a solo project than a band in the studio - after all, it's all Trent Reznor - but on stage, they're very much a band, even if much of the spotlight is on Trent. After all, a guy like Robin Finck - who also played with Guns N' Roses for years - is a veteran of the industry, and knows how to put on a good show. Plus NIN brings out a killer light/laser show, and Reznor himself has incredible stage presence. However, perhaps the best NIN is a stripped down one: The NIN:JA tour, which saw Nine Inch Nails join up with the band that gave them their big break, Jane's Addiction, was one of their finest tours, and as it was a supposed farewell (for now) tour it was all about the music. When you have a catalog as diverse as NIN it's fantastic, and hearing the entire crowd sing along to Hurt in this sort of setting will give you goosebumps.
