Unlike the other entries on this list, there is not an ounce of artistic integrity or visual intention behind this alternate cover of the super group€™s final album. Or if there is, it certainly did not come from the minds of Jimi Hendrix, Noel Redding or Mitch Mitchell. Ignoring Hendrix€™s concept designs, Reprise pushed on and decided to wrap this magnificent double LP inside a gang of women flaunting their corporeal finery.

It may have reflected the decade€™s relaxed attitude to sex and nudity but Hendrix, a legendary artistic perfectionist, expressed much disdain for the cover€™s fleshy feast and menagerie of mammary glands.
