How much does half a second of product airtime cost? Presumably quite a lot, given the ridiculously huge viewership the big artists pull in on each music video. Millions of views are a guarantee, with millions more over the course of the video's lifespan. And that's not factoring in all of the television airplay that isn't visibly quantifiable. Which makes you wonder...how much did Ice-Watch pay for a whole two seconds of nonsensical product placement in The Saturday's video for Missing You? They don't even try to make it fit with the rest of the video. Around twenty-four seconds in, there's just a lengthy, lingering close-up shot of an Ice-Watch watch. It's just spliced in there between the shots of The Saturdays singing. You don't even see one of them look down to check the time. It's just...there.
