Though she couldn't top the apparent brain freeze Tina Turner had during 'Goldeneeeeeeeeye', Madonna gave the James Bond her best shot in 'Die Another Day'. The bigwigs at Eon Productions and MGM, who were producing the film, wanted something different in 2002. Boy-oh-boy, they got it.

Classy, distinguished Bond was thrown out of the nearest Aston Martin window in favour of some updated clash between gritty pop and electronica. It tanked amongst those Bond traditionalists who wanted something a little more familiar.

For the video, Madonna waged a war between good and evil and included some Bond-style elements to match the film. The 4-minute result ended up costing $6.1m to make, which is even more startling when considering that 'The Man With The Golden Gun' cost $7m, albeit in 1974.
