While I am not the hugest Led Zeppelin fan, I would be idiotic to not name this as the number one on this list. Possibly the most influential of ALL hard rock albums ever recorded. This band has been imitated for decades but no band has ever really captured the essence of what they were about. From Black Dog to the legendary Stairway To Heaven, this is the album that probably influenced more bands than any other.
