Is there anything better than working with your family?

Well, depending on who you ask, lots of things. Like getting stung by a wasp directly on the eyeball. Still, some weird people genuinely like their family members though and, as a result, find it much easier to collaborate on creative projects when it's with their own flesh and blood.

Music history is full of famous sibling pairings. The Bee Gees, The Jackson 5, The Jonas Brothers, all 20,000 of The Osmonds. The list goes on and on... much like The Osmonds.

Rock music has also seen it's fair share of bands keeping it in the family, with brother/sister combos making up some of the most beloved acts of the last six or so decades.

This list is about the biological siblings who found success as part of the same act. Some went on to have massive success on their own, whilst others let their brother/sister hog the solo limelight.

Some of these people will be more instantly recognisable than their relatives, but rest assured they all made great contributions to the music business.

10. The Van Zants (Ronnie And Johnny)

The original line-up of Lynyrd Skynyrd featured Ronnie Van Zant behind the microphone.

RVZ served as the band's frontman and leader during their hottest period, until fate intervened in 1977. The band were travelling on a small plane when it crashed, killing six people, including Van Zant.

This tragedy led to the end of the band, seemingly forever, until they made a comeback a decade later with a different Van Zant at the helm.

Johnny, younger brother of Ronnie, was now the group's lead singer and chief songwriter. He had previously been involved in different bands, but had now taken his place in the group that his sibling had started just four years after he was born.

Though Skynyrd have never been quite as popular, they still make a lot of noise as a legacy act, with Johnny bringing new life to old songs. It's quite beautiful in a way that he was there to pick up the baton of his fallen brother, ensuring that his musical legacy lives on.

Side note, Ronnie and Johnny have another brother who is also involved in music. His name? Donnie. You couldn't make it up.
