The American Dream states that any man, no matter how slight or insignificant, can make a success of himself. Let's forget the fact that it's routinely exposed as a flawed idea in both film and literature and consider just for a moment a world in which Kanye West becomes the President. According to the man himself, that's exactly what he's hoping to achieve in the year 2020. During a massive, incoherent speech during the 2015 MTV VMAs, Kanye capped his rambling off by stating And yes, as you probably could've guessed in this moment, I've decided in 2020 to run for president. If you think this was just a one off joke, think again. West later clarified the comments in-depth, saying it's been a plan for the past five years, and that he wants to sit with engineers and come up with solutions and alternatives. Right... Not only that, but Obama himself actually acknowledged the comments, saying: ...in case Kanye's serious about this whole POTUS thing as he calls it, 'Peezy' I do have some advice. This advice included references to Keeping Up With The Kardashians, not being allowed to admit to having A Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and how crazy the notion was of a country electing a black guy from the South Side Of Chicago.
