A man (Lukas Haas) dies in a hospital and finds himself in some sort of purgatory where a procession of the dead - led by My Chemical Romance - escort him further into the underworld. What Would The Film Be About? This has Tim Burton written all over it. It'd be the very simple, gothic story of a man who passes away and has to find his way through the afterlife, stumbling across 'the Black Parade' and acquiring their help in his journey. Imagine a kind of Jason and the Argonauts-style quest by way of The Nightmare Before Christmas and you've got the right idea. Who Should Direct? If Tim Burton isn't available, Timur Bekmambetov would be a good shout, as anyone who's seen Nightwatch can probably attest.
