10 Musical Superstars You Never Knew Wrote Other Artists' Hit Songs

2. Harry Styles

Teenage girls around the world collectively fell apart when One Direction did, but the British boys have since started mega-successful solo careers, including Harry Styles. In 2017, Styles saw global success with his first solo album. The self-titled collection of tunes includes Sign of the Times, which was named Rolling Stone’s Single of the Year.

While performing as a member of 1D, Harry wrote many of the group's hit singles, including Fool's Gold, Story of my Life, Happily, and more. Since the boy band breakup, Styles continues to write songs for himself and others, including top-performing tunes from his second album, Fine Line.

Not satisfied with being just a model, musician, and actor, Styles has provided songs for other chart-topping artists. Pop sensation Ariana Grande tapped Styles to help write her hit Just a Little Bit of Your Heart for her second album, My Everything. Alex & Sierra, Michael Bublé, and Gavin DeGraw also have the British artist to thank for I Love You, Someday, and Not Our Fault, respectively. Styles is also credited as a co-writer of Alfie's Song (Not So Typical Love Song) with Jack Antonoff.
