10 Often Forgotten Nu Metal Bands
10. Powerman 5000
If the first thought that popped into your head when you saw this wasn't Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, where were you?!
Powerman 5000 (or PM5K, which sounds like a weapon from GoldenEye), are what Rob Zombie would be if he went towards nu metal than hellbilly rock. Why Rob Zombie, you ask?
Well, PM5K vocalist Spider One is his brother, you see.
Whilst they never hit the same success that the former White Zombie frontman has, PM5K are still going to this day. Though they may have started as a more industrial rock band before the switch to the nu, their still now is more electronica based... think Combichrist, that kind of thing.
But without a doubt, When Worlds Collide is their most recognisable song. Not only for the above reason, but because you can't hear the clap without doing it yourself. Yeah, take that, Enter Shikari. These guys did it first.
Also, for you keen eared, you may remember a certain metal cover of Frankie Goes to Hollywood's "Relax" at the end of Zoolander.
That was these guys.
