10 Perfect Music Albums That Defined The 2010's

10. We Got It From Here - A Tribe Called Quest

There's always a bit of stress that revolves around bands making a reunion album. Even if they may have been responsible for writing some of the greatest jams back in the day, there's no guarantee that the same level of talent is going to carry over into the next generation. As the years went on though, a Tribe Called Quest decided to sign off with one last big party on We Got It From Here.

From the opening notes of the Space Program, this just feels like a modern update of the same guys who came up with stuff like Midnight Marauders, only with a slightly more menacing tone. When you take a look at some of these lyrics, you can tell that Q-Tip has been taking a deep look at what his life means as a black man in America, and is using every track to speak his mind.

Aside from keeping the good times rolling, Tribe is tuned in to a lot of rock music this time around as well, especially with people like Jack White showing up on some of the tracks. Along with bringing back Jarobi White for the first time since the '80s, every single cut on here is like Tribe signing off and tying up any loose ends of their career. The party vibes might be flowing, but after this record's over, the future of the hip hop scene is in our hands now.
