10 Perfect Rock Albums With No Bad Songs

3. Rumours - Fleetwood Mac

Most people like their music to have a bit more drama to it. As far as rock is concerned though, any song that has the ability to make your headbang normally gets the job done just as well. But what if you had an album where the entire thing can be looked at like a walking soap opera?

Though it may sound all sunshine-y and nice, the making of Rumours was absolutely torturous, with both intra-band couples separating during the sessions. They didn't feel the need to hide it either, with songs like Go Your Own Way and Songbird all having something to do with their relationships falling apart. On paper, this should have been what ultimately broke the band apart, and yet we got one of the most glorious run of songs in rock and roll.

Sharing an equal split of songs across the runtime, each songwriter has their moments to shine, from Stevie Nicks' amazing aura on Dreams to Lindsey Buckingham's finger picking prowess on Never Going Back Again to Christine McVie's brilliant alto voice on You Make Loving Fun. Hell, even the thesis statement of the record on the Chain can go to bat with some of the greatest songs in the rock canon. Even though they may have the scars to prove it, this is what takes you from upbeat rock to true legends.
