10. The Kaiser Chiefs

The Kaiser Chiefs have come a long way since the days of I Predict a Riot and Ruby. And that sentiment is not meant in a good way.

After flirting with hits at the edge of the post-punk revival movement, the band from Leeds recruited mega-producer Mark Ronson to produce their 2008 album Off with Their Heads. An album where the band had songs targeted towards kids with songs of school-age revolution, rapping, and seaside pier sounds. There was no way this one was going to tickle even the US Alternative Charts, and it is the same sound and failure with Duck.

Their second least successful album of all-time, while confident the band come off as a little cringe-worthy these days.

Lead single Record Collection is an anti-internet anthem where Ricky Wilson sounds like a reject from his talent show The Voice UK (whether on purpose or not). The second single People Know How To Love One Another is a naff kids cartoon theme song.

The only memorable part of the album is the album’s closer, a vaudeville pop number where the Chiefs pit cultural icons Kurt Cobain against sitcom legend Frasier Crane as if it was a football fixture. Oh and that the album is called f*cking Duck.
