10 Reasons There Won't Ever Be Another Prince

10. Prince Stood Out Among The Greatest Guitarists Of All Time

To induct the legendary George Harrison into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, they brought in a whole hoard of the most talented musicians of all time to play through a stellar rendition of one of Harrison's most famous songs, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood, and even George's incredibly gifted son, Dhani Harrison, all took their guitars on stage. But as soon as Prince stepped forward to solo, it was like none of those other icons even existed. They instantly turned into the backing band for Avril Lavigne as soon as he ripped into those first few notes.

That's just the kind of presence Prince had.

Those who've only heard Prince's synth-heavy 80s hits don't realize how much of a guitar virtuoso the man was. He had the technical abilities of Jimmy Page or Eddie Van Halen with the showmanship of Jimi Hendrix. And all of that was on display that night.

To cap off the performance, he casually takes the guitar and chucks it into the air where it disappears. Presumably, he was just throwing it to the heavens to be "saved for a later time."
