If the best thing you can say about a game is that is features an exclusive performance from a popular musician, then it's not going to be a great start to things at all. Released in 2008 and published by Deep Silver who are themselves not alien to the concept of breaking down entertainment mediums the game serves as a prequel to its predecessor and is set some several thousand years beforehand. Having written the theme tune "Sacred Worlds" specifically with the game in mind, German power-metallers Blind Guardian were rewarded for their dedication, with a cameo appearance and performance featured in the actual game. Sadly for hardcore fans the bands performance in the game is abridged by almost four minutes the original track is almost ten minutes long which means the additional coding might be a nightmare for the developers to add. I'm slightly cheating by including this on the list but in terms of marketing and the uniqueness of the production you can't help but praise the band for getting involved. Not bad for the band who started off named Lucifer's Heritage.
