10 Rock Bands That Have Two Frontmen

6. The Eagles

You pretty much couldn't even nab a spot in the Eagles if you didn't have some kind of singing ability to go along with it. When assembling the group back in the early '70s, Don Henley and Glenn Frey's vision always catered to something that had a lot of harmony work which could play off each other well. When it comes to lead vocals though, it always did come back to the two who started it all.

Being the more rock and roll of the pair, Frey's way of singing was much more traditional in a sense, almost like he's just a guy who's looking to kill it in some bar downtown. While Frey's turns on Take it Easy and Peaceful Easy Feeling yielded the group's first few hits, they wouldn't be where they are today without Henley. Famously dubbed Golden Throat by music mogul David Geffen, Henley's tone whenever he sang was almost pristine in its delivery, leaving just the right amount of space in between the guitars and drums whenever he sang.

Aside from just the head hanchos, the other vocalists certainly had their own personalities, albeit with Joe Walsh's trademark squawky delivery whenever he had a turn on vocals. For as much as the Eagles were made up of professional singers, the interplay between Frey and Henley has been pivotal in steering the ship for these sunshine rockers.
