At the 2013 Video Music Awards Miley Cyrus gave the performance of her career, emerging from a giant teddy bear in a leotard, sticking her tongue out and twerking against her dancers who were also dressed as teddy bears while performing her single We Can't Stop. She was then joined onstage by Robin Thicke, where she stripped down to flesh-coloured underwear and sported a giant foam finger which she then danced provocatively with, while performing Thicke's hit Blurred Lines, which was played once or twice by radio stations this summer. It all came to a head with Miley bending over and grinding against Robin Thicke who, in comparison to a nearly-naked Miley Cyrus, was wearing a black and white Beetlejuice-esque suit. Thankfully, despite the controversial nature of the performance, barely anyone mentioned it and it was more or less forgotten about a day later...
